Russell Brand, the English actor and comedian has been known for several movies. The actor once joked about Tom Cruise and his ties with the Church of Scientology. Talking about the humorous incidents that happened with Cruise, Brand joked that he felt offended.
The English comedian revealed that he was offended when Tom Cruise did not offer a chance to Russell Brand to join the Church of Scientology. He further joked that if there was a cult out there that do not want him then he has to know what was wrong with him.

After starring in several roles throughout his Hollywood career, Russell Brand has been known for making offensive and several controversial jokes. Before he was sacked, the American comedian made several jokes about Tom Cruise and his close ties with the Church of Scientology.
During an interview, Brand revealed that he was offended when the Top Gun actor did not ask him about potentially joining the Church of Scientology. Joking that if there was a cult out there that did not want him then he would want to know what was wrong with him!
“Firstly he’s [Tom Cruise] a glorious man and he’s very kind and sweet. That’s what you say if you want to continue to work in the film industry. I was thinking he’s a member of that religion called Scientology.”
He further continued,
“I’m interested in that. So every so often, I’d say things like I wish I had a way of thinking more positively about the future. That man had no interest in getting in Scientology at all. If there’s a cult that don’t want me, I want to know why.”
With controversies and several arrests, Russell Brand soon lost his stardom. As for Tom Cruise, the actor chose which movie he’d rather watch first Oppenheimer or Barbie.

In an interview, the Top Gun: Maverick actor had his pick of a choice of the movie that he’d like to watch first. With Oppenheimer and Barbie releasing on the same day, Cruise was asked the difficult question of which movie he’d watch first.
“I want to see both Barbie and Oppenheimer. I’ll see them opening weekend. Friday I’ll see Oppenheimer first and then Barbie on Saturday.”
With Barbie and Oppenheimer releasing on 21st July 2023 in theaters across the U.S., Tom Cruise is also hyped-up for his own movie Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One which is set for a release date of 12th July 2023.
