Terminator (1984) star Arnold Schwarzenegger’s face has been recently used by a lesser-known standup comedian Brian Monarch to create deepfake images of the actor.
Monarch posted a compilation of four pictures on his Instagram handle and used another Hollywood superstar Sylvester Stallone’s iconic franchise film, Rocky IV (1985).
The film introduced Dolph Lundgren (Universal Soldier) as the deadly Soviet-era boxer Ivan Drago who took on Carl Weathers’ Apollo Creed and later fought Stallone’s Rocky Balboa.
Creed was knocked out by Lundgren’s Drago and Monarch recreated the scene using Schwarzenegger’s face on the actor. The deepfake photos have created a buzz among hardcore fans who would love to see Stallone and Schwarzenegger exchange blows in the ring.
Arnold Schwarzenegger Ready To Fight Sylvester Stallone In New Deepfake Images
Actor Dolph Lundgren, also quite famous in Hollywood for the action franchise The Expendables, was shown as a ruthless and relentless boxer whose story builds up to his ultimate fight.
His character, Ivan Drago, shown to have killed Apollo Creed with a fatal blow, said the chilling yet iconic line, “If he dies, he dies,” as Sylvester Stallone’s Rocky held him in his arms.
Arnold Schwarzenegger, who also starred in The Expendables sequels alongside Stallone, has been meticulously put inside the ring by Monarch who’s made optimal use of the deepfake technology.
Now, we can’t possibly know if Schwarzenegger would have won or lost against Rocky, but fans believe their fight would definitely be nothing short of legendary.
Fans Want Arnold Schwarzenegger vs. Sylvester Stallone
Brian Monarch often posts photoshopped pictures of Schwarzenegger on his handle, but this particular one has attracted hundreds of his followers who would absolutely love to see them fight.
An Instagram user, @psfilmsbob has said, “I can already hear, ‘If he dies, he dies,’ in Arnie’s voice.” Come to think of it, Schwarzenegger may have just delivered that cold dialogue, thanks to his performance in Terminator.
Another user, @the_dandalorian said, “Back in the day if they were friends, I would definitely watch him as Drago.” He pointed out their hot rivalry during the 1980s.
@t_roymeetsworld said, “I’m definitely thinking Arnold would beat Stallone’s a*s.” Though Schwarzenegger used to be a professional heavy lifter, Stallone was never a professional boxer but trained relentlessly for the films.
