Florence Pugh shares how her overbearing love for food confused Hollywood
Florence Pugh has been one of the most humble and grounded stars in Hollywood and is truly dining at the buffet of life and hasn’t fallen under the intense diet pressure that Hollywood places on young actresses as she confused Hollywood with her overbearing love for food.
Pugh has repeatedly thanked her parents for her growing confidence as she was taught to not be self-conscious about her body which can be seen as she hasn’t fallen under the pressure of Hollywood to maintain an extreme diet and hasn’t shied away from showing her love for food. She also discussed how she hit her foot as a beginner in the industry for her love of food, as she didn’t care about her body image and deployed the norms set by the industry on young actresses. She further discussed her experience by stating,
“I think women, especially young women in Hollywood are getting themselves in all these ways to get whatever opportunity they need to get because that’s just the way that it’s been. And when I went and did that project it was expected that you would be on whatever diet that you needed to be on and for me, that was just shocking because I’d never done that before,”
She also expressed her feeling of not wanting her career to dictate her body, as she didn’t lose weight for any particular role to look fantastic but to get into the shoes of the character and experience how the character would’ve lived and what she would’ve eaten.
Florence Pugh shares her love for cooking
Although Florence Pugh is known for her wonderful acting abilities, this isn’t the only skill that she bears in her arsenal, as the actress has also shared her exquisite cooking skills through her social media and different interviews.
