“When we first met, I was surprised at how charming and how funny he was – and extremely handsome. That was my first thought of you.”

Fortunately, their first date was only the beginning as the duo would later go on to date for around 2 years before eventually tying the knot. Following their marriage, the duo has been pretty outspoken about their love for each other and have been together for the last 13 years. However, things would turn difficult for the couple after the actor was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia.

Emma Heming opened up about her hardships during Bruce Willis’ 68th birthday

After expressing her love through a heartfelt message on Bruce Willis’ birthday, Heming opened up about the hardships of taking care of her partner, who is currently suffering from frontotemporal dementia. Considering that there is currently no cure for the research, his illness has filled Heming with complete grief. She said,

“I always get this message where people always tell me, ‘Oh you’re so strong. I don’t know how you do it.’ I’m not given a choice. I wish I was but I’m also raising two kids in this… sometimes in our lives, we have to put our big girl panties on and get to it, and that’s what I’m doing. But I do have times of sadness every day, grief every day and I’m really feeling it today on his birthday.”
