While Hollywood star Daniel Craig has been significantly popular for his role as James Bond, the actor has done many noteworthy parts over the years including the flamboyant master detective Benoit Blanc in the Knives Out series. Craig has also impressed audiences and critics with his performances in films like Cowboys and Aliens, and The Girl With A Dragon Tattoo.

The British star has also been seen in a small role in one of Hollywood’s biggest franchises, Star Wars. In 2015’s Star Wars Episode 7: The Force Awakens, Daniel Craig played Stormtrooper FN-1824, the easily influenced First Order soldier who is assigned to guard Daisy Ridley’s character Rey. The Skyfall star looked back fondly on his short but memorable time on set and even joked lightheartedly about being left out of the next two films.

IN 2015, Daniel Craig appeared in the role of Stormtrooper FN-1824 in the Star Wars film, The Force Awakens. Though he featured in a small cameo, The No Time to Die star remembered his time on set with nostalgia and fondness. Speaking to Josh Horowitz in the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Craig shared a good laugh with his host regarding his character’s name and jokingly addressed his absence from the next two installments of the trilogy.

“Ben Dixon, who’s an AD [Assistant Director] on the movie who AD’d our movies, I was on Pinewood because I was doing fittings. I just said, ‘Could I get a part in this?’ And he went, ‘Yeah,’ Next day, I’m in a f***ing suit.

While Craig confessed that wearing the Stormtrooper suit was hot and uncomfortable, the experience was absolutely worth it as he got the opportunity to be part of a cult franchise that he grew up watching. The James Bond actor also had words of praise for all his co-stars who were completely committed to the film and its legacy.
