Kevin Conroy Picks Ben Affleck Over Christian Bale’s Batman

For the past three decades, Kevin Conroy has provided the voice of the Dark Knight. Many members of the current age might not be aware of this, but Conroy most likely created the original version of Batman. Before Christian Bale, Ben Affleck, or Robert Pattinson came into the picture, people were accustomed to Conroy’s version of Batman from his animated show, Batman the Animated Series.

The famed celebrity sadly passed away last year, in November 2022, at the age of 66. His version of The Dark Knight was one of the best and undoubtedly the fan favorite. “I love seeing all the different takes. I think some of them get Bruce Wayne more than they get Batman, and some of them get Batman more than they get Bruce Wayne. I think Ben Affleck has probably gotten the best balance of the two. He’s a really good Bruce Wayne and a really good Batman.”

During the San Diego Comic-Con in 2017, Kevin Conroy shared that all the Batman portrayals in the DC Universe have turned out to be a great watch but he also claimed that he liked Affleck’s version the most. Although he claims that every actor had a different take on their role, each of them has shown a better and different version of Bruce Wayne. Though he was a bit bumped about the fact that there was more than one Batman cast, Conroy assumed that the studio would hire a single actor to carry the franchise.
