Actress Denise Richards first started out as a model, appearing in numerous commercials and print ads. She bagged her first major role in 1993 in Loaded Weapon 1 and went on to star in several more movies in the 1990s. In the late 1990s, the actress appeared in a Bond film, The World is Not Enough. The movie was a hit as it grossed about $362 million worldwide at the box office.
The actress played the role of Dr. Christmas Jones and unfortunately, viewers were not huge fans of her as she faced a lot of criticism. She also recently explained what she thinks of a female Bond.
Denise Richards isn’t a fan of a female Bond
In her latest interview with Variety, actress Denise Richards explained that she would only like to see a “male” James Bond. The actress said,
“Definitely a male Bond, I’m sorry and I might get a lot of flack for this. But the fact of the matter is the Bond franchise was based off of a book franchise and Bond was male in the books and I believe [they should] continue with that. I do, and people may shit on me for it, but I believe it. They could do a spin-off where a Bond girl becomes the female Bond. But I think James Bond is James Bond.”
After Daniel Craig wrapped up his James Bond days, there have been a lot of speculations over who will play the British spy now.

The actress faced criticism for playing Dr. Christmas Jones
Denise Richards played the role of Dr. Christmas Jones in Michael Apted’s The World Is Not Enough (1999). She previously explained that fans did not like that she was wearing shorts and a midriff-baring vest while playing the role of a nuclear scientist,
“It broke my heart that people were making fun of me. ‘Oh, really? You’re wearing shorts and you’re a nuclear scientist?’ I’m playing a Bond girl. If I wore a lab coat and pants and a suit, then [fans] would have been upset, like, ‘Okay, why isn’t she looking like a s*xy Bond girl?'”
The actress gave the interview to promote her upcoming TV series Paper Empire.
