Leonardo DiCaprio reveals his viewpoint on Christopher Nolan’s Inception
Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood fame, DiCaprio starred in Christopher Nolan’s Inception. The story of the film was immensely confusing, which left the actor unsure about the plot of the movie. The film also starred Ken Watanabe, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Marion Cotillard, Tom Hardy, Cillian Murphy, and Michael Caine.
In a conversation with Marc Maron on the WTF podcast, Leonardo DiCaprio shared that he found it difficult to understand the ending of the film,
“What happened? I have no idea. Sometimes you’re just focused on your character, man. I actually do get involved, but when it came to Chris Nolan and his mind and how that was all pieced together, everyone was trying to constantly piece that puzzle together.”
Christopher Nolan tried to give a definitive answer to better explain the end of his film, in an interview with Wired,
“I choose to believe that Cobb gets back to his kids because I have young kids. People who have kids definitely read it differently than those who don’t. Clearly, the audience brings a lot to it.”
Inception won four Oscars- Best Cinematography, Best Sound Editing, Best Sound Mixing, Best Visual Effects, and was nominated for four more categories at the 83rd Academy Awards.
Will Christopher Nolan direct the next James Bond film?
Christopher Nolan is regarded as one of the most talented directors in the Hollywood industry. He has directed some of the highest-grossing and critically acclaimed films like The Dark Knight, Oppenheimer, Memento, The Prestige, and others.
Reportedly, Nolan is in talks to direct the upcoming James Bond films. According to World Of Reel sources, James Bond producer Barbara Broccoli has apparently chosen Nolan for the next two installments. However, the talks have been delayed due to the ongoing Hollywood writers and actors strikes. Also, the director has promotional commitments to his recent release, Cillian Murphy’s Oppenheimer.
As per reports, the deal would mean Nolan would write and direct the next two films. The films will be led by Daniel Craig’s unannounced successor.
According to sources, the biggest reason that can be the deal breaker is Nolan’s need for creative freedom for the project. Other directors who can be potential back-ups include Danny Boyle, Denis Villeneuve, and Paul Greengrass.
Christopher Nolan’s Inception grossed $837 million worldwide, and it is available for rent on Apple TV.
