The actor is married to a model and television personality Jennifer Flavin Stallone, whom he first met in 1988 at a restaurant in West Hollywood, California when he was at the pinnacle of his career. The couple exchanged vows in 1997 at the Dorchester Hotel in London after dating on and off for six years.
In a candid interview, the veteran star once revealed that he stopped doing romantic scenes with his co-stars in the movies because of his wife, Flavin. Stallone recalled that he starred with actress Sharone Stone in The Specialist, and the two had filmed intimate scenes in the movie, which his wife was not pleased of. He said,
“Jennifer does not believe you can just be acting and thinks there must be some kind of romantic attachment. I hated doing it, and Jennifer was upset, so I knew that would be the last time for me.”
The First Blood movie star stated that this would mark his last film with an intimate scene as his wife wasn’t comfortable seeing him playing love scenes with his other co-stars in his movies.
Sylvester Stallone Shares How He Convinced His Co-star To Film an Intimate Scene
In an interview, the 76 year old star once revealed that his co-star Sharon Stone wasn’t ready to film an intimate scene with him in the 1994 action thriller The Specialist. Sylvester Stallone recalled,
“OK. Let it be known. I didn’t want to do this scene because Sharon was not cooperating. We get to the set, and she decides not to take her robe off. The director asks only a few of the crew to remain, and she still won’t take it off.”
Stallone continued,
“I promised her I wouldn’t take any liberties, so what’s the problem? She said, ‘I’m just sick of nudity’. I asked her if she could get sick of it on someone else’s film. She was having none of it, so I went down to my trailer, brought back a bottle of Black Death vodka that was; given to me by Michael Douglas, and after half-a-dozen shots, we were wet and wild.”
