What do you think when you see a film with many racy scenes and how the performers shoot all those intimate scenes? The majority of celebs openly loathe s*x scenes. Even worse is when they unintentionally become aroused while filming them.
Something similar happened to Scottish actor James McAvoy while filming the British TV series Shameless. The show, which aired from 2004 to 2013, featured James McAvoy and Anne-Marie Duff portraying the characters Steve McBride and Fiona Gallagher, respectively. And McAvoy admitted that he has had really ‘hard‘ times doing all those intimate scenes.
James McAvoy Revealed the Hardest S*x Scene He Ever Filmed
Actor James McAvoy had an unexpected incident while filming the British television series Shameless. Speaking to The Times, he said: “I had the merest hint of an erection a couple of times.”
He stated about doing these s*x scenes with now ex-wife, Anne-Marie Duff,
“We weren’t together yet. I fancied her, but you don’t want to make that person feel like they’re being abused or that you’re enjoying yourself.”
“It’s usually so uncomfortable that it’s more about making it look like you’re really going for this person, while convincing the person that you’re not having a good time. While at the same time not making them feel like you’re saying ‘Don’t worry, I’m not enjoying it, because you’re fu**ing stinking!”
The X-Men actor and his actress wife Anne-Marie Duff first got to know one another while working on the television series Shameless, in which Duff portrayed her then-future husband’s love interest. They got married in 2006 and announced their split after nine years of marriage.
James McAvoy Was Terrified Filming S*x Scenes with Angelina Jolie
When they co-starred in the 2008 film Wanted, the Scottish actor admitted he felt uncomfortable with Angeline Jolie. The actor admitted that, despite Jolie being one of the world’s best performers, it was extremely terrible and uncomfortable to film the intimate scenes.
When speaking with Today, McAvoy said,
“It was her first day, it was her first scene. I had been on the set for two weeks — it was like, ‘Hey, how you doing, nice to meet you, I’m James, oh, we’re going to do a kissing scene now!’”
The actor was brutally honest when talking about the experience.
“It’s sweaty and uncomfortable. My paranoia is the girl I’m doing the s*x scene with will think I’m getting off on her. I have nightmares about that the night before a s*x scene. There’s no chance of getting any kind of stimulus because you’re so nervous and there’s all these people watching you.”
“You’re meant to do the kissing last thing, but you end up doing it first thing, just after you’ve had your breakfast and you’re all funky in the mouth. I rarely manage to be fully in the moment when I do a kissing scene or the sex scene. If I were truly in the moment, then I would worry that I was molesting someone.”
Wanted has a rating of 6.7/10 on IMDB and an average score of 71% on Rotten Tomatoes.
