In an interview, he revealed that because of his strange eating habits, he was able to manage the changes in his diet plans. Talking about his diet regimen for the film, the actor told GQ,

I’m essentially on a meal plan for Batman. Thank God. I don’t know what I’d be doing other than that. But I mean, yeah, other than—I can survive. I’ll have oatmeal with, like, vanilla protein powder on it. And I will barely even mix it up. It’s extraordinarily easy.”

The High Life movie star further gives an intriguing insight into his odd eating habits, saying,

“Like, I eat out of cans and stuff. I’ll literally put Tabasco inside a tuna can and just eat it out of the can…it is weird, but my preferences are…just sort of eat like a wild animal. Like, out of a trash can.”

Pattinson has worked tirelessly to help build the right physique for this iconic role, and he was following a different diet plan for the same which was super difficult for him to maintain.

Pattinson shared:

“The nature of the part, and the fact it’s been around for such a long time and has been reinterpreted a few times as well as show it has had so many layers, so many ways you can play it, even though you’ve got half your face hidden. It’s bizarre, but you can put him into so many different genres.

He continued,

“Just the legacy of the people who’ve been involved. It’s a massive privilege when you put the suit on for the first time, you can feel it. I remember walking across the parking lot and seeing a shadow with two little ears coming out the top, that was really strange.”

Many actors like George Clooney, Christian Bale, Will Arnett, and Ben Affleck have effectively played the iconic role of Batman across live-action films and television shows. Robert Pattinson also did justice to the legendary character and donned the superhero costume for the 2022 Matt Reeves-directed film The Batman.
