Having gained widespread recognition for his role as vampire Edward Cullen in the Twilight series, Robert Pattinson has had a diverse acting career during his extensive years in the industry. In fact, the actor received rave appreciation for his portrayal of the iconic superhero Batman.

Robert Pattinson opened up about self-doubt and ambitions
In a candid interview with The Guardian, Robert Pattinson shared his personal aspirations, upcoming roles, and his innermost thoughts on his acting abilities. Revealing how he shares a deep appreciation for actors like Willem Dafoe and Joaquin Phoenix, the 37-year-old actor admitted to feeling nervous before every project.
During the conversation, Pattinson said that he feels like he has a limited number of ways in which he can actually play a role. Explaining how this lack of variety in his acting process despite his decade-long career troubles him, the actor said that he does not think of himself as an accomplished actor. “I only know how to play scenes, like, three ways. I’m nervous on, like, every single movie.”
However, while discussing his career choices, Pattinson passionately discussed the excitement of landing the roles he desires. He revealed that when he landed a role in High Life, directed by Claire Dennis whom he had admired for years, he wondered if anything else could feel better than this achievement of working with his dream filmmaker.
Robert Pattinson on the possibility of him venturing into p*rn
While talking about one of the highly anticipated endeavors The Batman in the 2019 interview, Pattinson acknowledged that he felt a deep connection with his character. “I felt a connection to it, I don’t know why. I just really wanted it.”
Furthermore, he said that the role of Bruce Wayne has a peculiar power that attracts almost everyone towards it. However, the constant questions and expectations associated with it have been tiring for him.
While talking about the pressure that comes with the role, especially when it comes to living up to the legacy, Pattinson revealed that he doesn’t have to worry about the critics. “But there is no harsher critic of myself than myself, so I don’t need to worry about anyone else.”
And humorously, when asked what he would do if all his worst-case scenarios played out and he never gets the Batman vibe, the actor giggled and replied, “P*rn. But art house p*rn.”
And fortunately, none of his worst fears came true as the actor portrayed the role of Bruce Wayne brilliantly. Many critics appreciated the sense of strangeness and a feeling of torment Pattinson brought to the screen with his portrayal.
