She further elaborated on her stance by criticizing films like Harry Potter for idealizing such institutions, emphasizing her belief that they constitute a harsh environment for a child’s upbringing, offering no educational benefits.

One of the highly-publicized casting considerations involved Ian McKellen as Dumbledore. The role of the Hogwarts headmaster was originally portrayed by Richard Harris in the first two films, but his passing before Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban led to McKellen being considered as a potential replacement, given his prior iconic portrayal of Gandalf in the Lord of the Rings series.
