Doctor Strange was initially introduced in the first Doctor Strange movie back in 2016 and later became one of the key characters who fought against Thanos in the Infinity Saga of the MCU. According to sources, Lulu Wilson was also supposed to be a key part of his origin story.

Lulu Wilson opened up about her role in the Doctor Strange movie

Lulu Wilson talked about how she almost featured in a Doctor Strange movie in a recent interview. Wilson was supposed to play the part of Doctor Strange’s sister, Donna Strange who dies at a very young age by drowning. The teenage actress revealed that she had even filmed the scene but it didn’t make it to the final cut of the movie. She further talked about her role in the movie and said, “I died and that’s the whole thing because Donna Strange is dead and Doctor Strange is like, ‘My sister is dead!‘”

The Haunting of Hill House actress also revealed that she was “pissed” when her scene didn’t make it to the movie. She said,

So I died and remember being a little bit pissed because come on, that would have been a good moment and would have been good for me.

If the scene had made it into the final cut of the movie, that would have been really great for Wilson’s career.

The Annabelle: Creation actress will gladly take up the role of Donna Strange if offered again

In the same interview, Lulu Wilson revealed her wish to be a part of the MCU. When asked if she would be willing to take up the role of Donna Strange again in another Doctor Strange sequel, the actress replied,

Yes, of course! Who wouldn’t be? On that one, I was in fifth grade and was really, really young. It was just a couple of days of me on set and I’m not going to say what I did.

Even the director of Doctor Strange movie, Scott Derrickson talked about Lulu Wilson’s role in the movie back in 2016 and revealed that he really loved the scene. He said,

I loved that scene. It was a really great scene. It just didn’t fit in the movie. It felt like… it just didn’t work. But the self-contained scene by itself, I thought it was great.
