In previously released footage from Renner’s interview with Sawyer, his nephew also recounted the terrifying incident, describing the actor as being in a pool of blood coming from his head. The accident, which saw Renner risk his life for his family member, is a chilling reminder of the dangers of extreme sports.

“And I ran up to him … you know, I didn’t think he was alive,” the actor’s nephew added, getting visibly and audibly emotional. During his talk with Sawyer, Renner himself emphasized that he would do it all over again, a testament to his strength and resilience.

You’d do it again?” she asked, incredulous, to which he responded, “Yeah, I’d do it again. ‘Cause [the snowplow] was going right at my nephew.

He stated, “Yeah, I’d do it again. ‘Cause [the snowplow] was going right at my nephew.” The question posed to Jeremy Renner about whether he remembers the pain evokes a sense of anguish. Renner’s response, which we can only imagine was difficult for him to share, follows:  “Oh, all of it. I was awake through every moment.”

Diane Sawyer reviewed the extensive list of injuries, which included over 30 broken bones, but then she asked him about a touching moment he shared with his family. She inquired about the time when he apologized to them in sign language since he was unable to speak after the accident.
