A piece of advice: Don’t make Leah Remini play hide-and-seek!
In her contentious autobiography Troublemaker: Surviving Hollywood and Scientology, the King of Queens actress claims that Tom Cruise once invited some of his pals, including Will and Jada Pinkett Smith, to his Los Angeles home to play the kiddie game.
Remini, wearing heels at that time, stayed put on the decision of not getting involved in the kid’s game and instead begged her husband to play in her place. Tom Cruise who’s almost 60 now, allegedly then ran off around his gigantic house’s lawn to hide.
Leah Remini withdrew from taking part in childlike games with Tom Cruise
In her book Troublemaker: Surviving Hollywood and Scientology, actress Liah Remini recalled her time at Tom Cruise‘s humble abode where the Top Gun actor wanted to play Hide-and-seek with his pals. Remini who initially thought it was a joke, had to withdraw herself from the game. She said,
“I can’t play — I’m wearing Jimmy Choos,”
Apparently, Cruise answered, “Well, good,” according to the actress, and said, “Well, I guess you’re It”. According to the star of The Exes, she remained put while Cruise, 53, fled to hide in his “almost three full acres of secluded land.”
Leah Remini then turned to her husband Angelo Pagan
Upon realizing that the Mission: Impossible star was actually dead serious about playing the game of Hide-and-Seek, Remini decided to turn to her husband Angelo Pagan, and asked him to play the game instead of her because the actress was in no mood to run around in “five-inch stilettos”. Read her full quote below:
“Uh, Angelo, you’re going to go ahead and do this, because I’m not doing it, I’m not trying to play a f—king game of hide-and-seek in five-inch stilettos.”
Remini didn’t clarify whether she ended up finishing the outdoor sport, but she did assert that “you didn’t just say no to ‘Mr. Cruise’ even when it came to little things.” Cruise’s “entourage” reportedly featured Jenna and Bodhi Elfman, along with the Smiths, who are close friends of Cruise as well.
Remini left Scientology after she started to worry that Shelly Miscavige, the spouse of the religion’s founder David Miscavige, was missing. Remini’s accusations upset the Church of Scientology, as was previously reported. Following her appearance on 20/20, the church released a statement on its official website alleging that Remini did not quit but was expelled.
In an official statement, the Church of Scientology condemned Remini’s accusations and labeled her as “shallow” and “spoiled,”.
