Marvel Comics Legend: Stan Lee

Stanley Martin Lieber was an American comic book writer, editor, publisher, and producer. He rose through the ranks of a family-run business called Timely Productions which we now know as Marvel Comics. He was the one who led this company for two decades from a small publishing house to a multimedia corporation as its primary leader.

Stan Lee created iconic superhero characters such as Spider-Man, the X-Men, the Hulk, Ant-Man, the Wasp, the Fantasic Four, Black Panther, Daredevil, Doctor Strange, the Scarlet witch, and Black Widow and many other characters along with his co-workers Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko. His contribution to the comic world challenged the restrictions of the Comic Code Authority, indirectly leading to changing its policies.

Lee remained a public figure head even after his retirement in the 1990s and frequently made cameos in films and television on MCU movies and tv shows on which he recieved an executive director credit, which resulted on him being the highest grossing person in film of all times. Stan Lee recieved the NEA’s National Medal of Arts in 2008 and was inducted into Will Eisner Award Hall of Fame in 1994 and the Jack Kirby Hall of Fame in 1995.

“If I was a part of it, it wouldn’t be my place to announce that. That would be Zack [Snyder]’s place, Whether or not that’s happening. That is an answer that’s below my NDA level.”
