“I understand that we’re not as dark and as brooding as a lot of the other titles have been, and we’re not supposed to be. And, you know, I think we made something really good. And I think if you haven’t seen it, you give yourself the opportunity to see it. And the new one. And maybe open your heart a little bit to it and recognize it.”

The uncertain future of every DCU project at the moment may shake every individual involved in the franchise, however, Levi’s trust in the sequel is quite the opposite. While he too has no idea where his film series would go and what his character would end up doing in the future, he is certain that whatever Gunn and Safran plan, it would be what the audience will like.

“I think a lot of that is also on purpose, I think a lot of those people out there, I don’t know if they’re looking at this live right now, because a lot of those people are the type of people that don’t like people like me. But the type of people that are drumming up all this, if I could just take a moment, if you are listening to this… I’m not the boss, I don’t know what ultimately is going on, but I can tell you without a shadow of a doubt that…”

He further stated how much he adored the previous CEO, Walter Hamada, however, if there were to be anyone better to replace him, it would be Gunn and Safran. His support for James Gunn and Peter Safran, his confidence in Shazam! Fury of the Gods and his trust in the role of Billy Batson forced him to address the fans and the wild set of rumors that had been flying around.
