Popular for portraying DC superhero Superman and the monster hunter Geralt of Rivia in The Witcher, Henry Cavill has won millions of hearts. And it’s not just his fans who speak highly of the British actor, his fellow actors have also shared the same thoughts about him. His co-star in the 2015 spy adventure film The Man from U.N.C.L.E. also had a similar experience during his first meeting with the Man of Steel star.
Armie Hammer, who portrayed KGB Agent Illya Kuryakin in the 2015 film, shared that he was in awe by Cavill’s presence, as he called his co-star a whole package.
Henry Cavill’s Co-Star Was Highly Impressed By Him
The 2015 film, The Man from U.N.C.L.E. was based on an MGM TV series of the same name and follows a CIA agent Napoleon Solo and a KGB agent Illya Kuryakin, who have to work together to stop a criminal organization from executing their nuclear plans. It featured Henry Cavill alongside Armie Hammer and Alicia Vikander as lead characters.
The 36-year-old American actor recalled meeting The Witcher star for the film during an interview. He admitted that he was amazed by his physique and personality. He shared that he was “overwhelmed” by Cavill’s personality as he called him a whole package.
“I was overwhelmed by his good looks, his chiseled body, his muscles, pretty much everything. There was the whole package there.”
Both stars are known for performing their own stunts, and they did the same in the 2015 film. The Immortals star was also glad not to have any shirtless scenes in the movie, as it allowed him to focus on his performance than his physique.
Henry Cavill Might Return as Napolean Solo
Nearly a decade after the release of the Guy Ritchie film, Henry Cavill fans are still awaiting his return as the CIA agent Napoleon Solo. The 2015 film did not receive the best reviews and the best box office reception, only grossing $107 million at the box office.
Despite its poor performance at the box office, the film garnered support for its sequel. With the director and the lead star reuniting with the upcoming movie, The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, there have been speculations about them working on a sequel for the 2015 film as well.
Although the studio has not confirmed anything officially reports have claimed that Cavill and Ritchie can reunite for the return of Napolean Solo. And there is also a possibility to recast Amrie Hammer’s character in the sequel.
The possible sequel could follow Napolean Solo, Illya Kuryakin, and Gaby on a new mission as they continue to work together under a new codename U.N.C.L.E.
The Man from U.N.C.L.E. is available on HBO Max.
