Getting along with his then-wife’s ex-husband wasn’t an easy task for Ashton Kutcher. Before marrying Kutcher, Demi Moore was engaged to Bruce Willis for 13 years, eventually parting ways in 2000, but the duo still maintained a close bond behind the curtains. But getting along with the Die Hard Star, following his history with his then-wife, was a challenging task for Kutcher.

Ashton Kutcher Was Jealous of Bruce Willis Following His History With Demi Moore

Back in the mid-2000s, Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore were one of Hollywood’s most talked about couple, but things weren’t always sunshine and roses for them. Reflecting on his marriage, Kutcher was pretty transparent about his bond with the G.I. Jane Star, revealing that he battled with jealousy following Moore’s history with Bruce Willis, Considering Willis and Moore were also among the most talked about couples of the 90s, The Butterfly Effect Star had a hard time getting along with Willis.

“At first it was difficult. You think, ‘He’s the guy who used to sleep with my wife,’” Kutcher said.

However, the jealousy wasn’t one-sided, as the Die Hard Star later admitted to having issues with Kutcher’s bond with his ex-wife. But thanks to his kids, the actor eventually overcame his jealousy.

Ashton Kutcher and Bruce Willis Eventually Buried the Hatchet

Despite their jealousy, Ashton Kutcher and Bruce Willis eventually buried the hatchet, becoming good friends in the process. Although it took time for Kutcher to get over his jealousy, things eventually got easier as things between the two progressed. Even though they might not see eye to eye on every matter, there was no longer any rift between the two. Kutcher explained,

“But once you overcome the jealousy, which is just your own personal insecurity, it gets easier. People ask us, ‘How do you guys get on so well?’ Well, I don’t like everything Bruce does, and I’m sure he doesn’t think everything I do is great But being with Bruce is normal to me now. We go scuba-diving, skiing, we hang out with the girls together, we watch movies, we talk about sport.”

Ashton Kutcher too parted ways with Demi Moore back in 2011, ending their 6-year-long marriage amidst a media frenzy. But Kutcher did come forward to clarify the situation, claiming “there’s no badness,” between them and the duo were still on good terms.
