Produced by MAPPA, this particular series has erupted waves in the anime industry, and a major credit goes to various studios who are involved in creating the anime. One such credit also goes to the voice actors who put their all into giving life to the 2d characters.

While all the characters in this particular series are unique from each other, an interview with the voice actors revealed how particularly Aki Hayakuwa is unique and different from the main character of the series, Denji.

Reagan Murdock Reveals He Relates With His Character

Aki Hayakawa is one of the popular characters from the series, however, has a backstory which leads a little into the dark side. Aki’s family was killed by a devil called the Gun Devil, which made him determined to get revenge for his family. He is also a character that has often been shown as someone closed off from others.

Talking about the same, his voice actor said “I related so much to Aki feeling like he needed to construct these kinds of walls around himself and he’s somebody who is just so deeply passionate. He’s so afraid of loss that he kind of puts these barriers up and I related a lot to that and I hope that people who have that similar experience are able to feel seen because of characters like Aki

What Murdock essentially meant was how after dealing with a great loss already, the character he plays in Chainsaw Man tends to block his feelings off from others, creating boundaries with everybody, so he does not get vulnerable to the kind of pain he has gone through before.

He continued by saying, “It’s just the privilege to be in something where I have so much to work with and so much to chew on and so many layers to peel back for a character. That’s an actor’s dream, to be able to show a person from all of their different angles.

The above statement discloses a lot about how working with studios to play the role of Aki Hayakawa has been something unrealistic, as such freedom is not often given while playing out a character. However, with this particular voice acting job, he had a chance to take it a little slower as to show the character from many different angles.

Reason Behind Chainsaw Man’s Hype

The anime revolves around a guy named Denji, who somehow finds himself trapped in heavy debt to be paid to collectors after his dad died, leaving him to be the only one who repays the loans taken.

Denji is also partnered with Pochita, a small devil with a chainsaw in his head. After getting betrayed and facing a near-death situation, Denji makes a deal with Pochita to be revived with a Devil Heart, and ends up becoming the famous Chainsaw Man.

The world of Chainsaw Man is filled to the brim with monsters called as devils, and there exists an organisation called Devil Hunters with a sole purpose to hunt and get rid of these monsters.

After becoming Chainsaw Man, Denji taken in by the same organisation, where he meets and makes new friends like Power and Aki Hayakawa. While all of them belong to a single organisation, Hayakawa’s voice actor has something else to say in order to distinguish Denji from his own character.
