Hollywood star Jamie Foxx suffered a health setback on Wednesday, 12th April. According to information from sources coming in, the Oscar winner was rushed to the hospital following what was called a medical emergency. Foxx’s condition looks to be a serious one judging from the fact that a lot of his family members including those from out of town were present at the hospital following the updates on the actor’s health. The Ray actor was currently filming Back in Action with co-stars Glenn Close and Cameron Diaz as early as Monday in Atlanta. Here’s everything you need to know about what went down with Jamie Foxx.
Jamie Foxx’s Daughter Updated Fans On Her Father’s Health
Following the breaking news about Jamie Foxx’s mystery illness that sent him to the hospital, Foxx’s daughter Corinne Foxx released a statement giving details about her father’s condition. Though she did not disclose what exactly the medical incident was that Jamie Foxx suffered, Corinne Foxx assured fans of the actor that he was out of danger. Foxx’s daughter who is also an actor said that his health was improving with the excellent care given to him at the hospital which ensured that he was on the mend. In her statement, Corinne Foxx also requested fans to say,
“We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time.”
It is still unclear how long Jamie Foxx will have to remain in the hospital for treatment or when he would return to his film with Close and Diaz. Fans are hoping for another update that will give them a more lucid picture of the actor’s condition.
What Does Jamie Foxx have lined up in 2023?
Jamie Foxx who is currently in the hospital following an undisclosed medical emergency was working on a film with Cameron Diaz and Glenn Close in Atlanta titled Back In Action. The film is an action comedy and premiers directly on Netflix. Foxx who credited himself for pulling Cameron Diaz out of semi-retirement to do her first film since 2014, spoke highly of the actor and said.
“Cameron is such an incredible force and she has done so much in this business,” I asked her “‘Do you wanna have some fun? Just have some fun!. And I think that’s what brought her to it…we’re so happy that it’s happening and looking forward to it”.
It is still uncertain how soon Jamie Foxx can return to the sets following his health setback. Apart from Back In Action, Foxx will also be seen in the canine comedy Strays along with Will Farell where he will voice the part of a Boston Terrier named Bug.
Back In Action is set to release on June 9th, 2023.
