Tom Holland’s name is now truly used synonymously with the phrase, “the guy who spills spoilers of his movies”, thanks to his formidable past of doing the same in nearly all his previous scintillating interviews before his movies release. But now it seems that the over-energetic and super-excited 27-year-old is finally fully adapted to the industry, judging from how he has learned to keep secrets as well.
This comes after the recent surfacing rumors about the No Way Home star getting possibly seen in Brad Pitt’s untitled upcoming Formula One movie, much to fans’ relief. Though this time, it wasn’t Holland who spilled this secret, but rather the Formula 1 team, McLaren Racing.
McLaren Racing Hints At Tom Holland’s Casting In Brad Pitt’s Formula One Film
Although keeping his lips sealed about his movies to not give out any spoilers has been one of the most significant weaknesses of Tom Holland, this time it seems to be different. Recently appeared in a CinemaBlend interview, the Spider-Man: No Way Home star was scintillatingly asked if he would be appearing in Brad Pitt’s upcoming untitled Formula One movie. To this, he responded,
“You know, I love Formula One. I actually… No, I can’t talk about that. But, I love Formula One. Yeah.”
While Holland barely managed to slip out of this knowing how much fans wanted him to star in the movie, there was someone else who gave away, hinting at his possible involvement in the film. This was none other than McLaren Racing, the second most successful and widely renowned Formula One team after Ferrari, who commented on the actor’s response post,
“He’s actually been driving this whole time…”
This comment, unquestionably, has driven fans crazy with excitement, leading to further speculations about his possible role, which could either be the character of Lando Norris, a 23-year-old British race car driver, racing for the McLaren-Mercedes team, or that of the younger version of Brad Pitt‘s character.
Before Tom Holland, Will Smith Was Rejected For Brad Pitt’s Formula One Movie
Already entitled the ‘best racing movie ever’ by fans before even the movie’s name was released, thanks to Brad Pitt and Lewis Hamilton’s involvement in it, Formula One has seemingly rejected all hope of Will Smith being cast in it, despite the actor being one of the biggest fans of Hamilton.
When asked in an interview earlier this year about the same, the Men in Black actor said,
“I haven’t been asked yet but I would love to. I might have to work on this gut though, it doesn’t fit in the car too well.”
So far, the actors confirmed to star in the Formula One movie are Brad Pitt and Damson Idris, who will be playing the respective roles of Sonny Hayes and Joshua Pearce. And judging from the building excitement from fans, the upcoming movie will certainly be nothing less than a masterpiece for real.
