A typical day for Dwayne Johnson begins at 3:30 in the morning with an intense workout session, followed by the absolutely insane amount of tasks he has to do daily, from public appearances to shooting for something or the other. The professional actor turned Hollywood sensation never lets the nine million things on his platter get in the way of his family life. Therefore one can say that the actor knows the secret of living a happy life, after all, he has attained the unattainable, the perfect work-life balance. And thus, his Rampage co-star, Jeffrey Dean Morgan absolutely despises him for it.
In a Rolling Stone interview, The Walking Dead actor stated how in awe he was after getting to know Johnson’s daily routine. As a result, he now despises The Rock for making it look so easy and making his own life more challenging.
Jeffrey Dean Morgan hates Dwayne Johnson for having the perfect work-life balance
There is no doubt, Dwayne Johnson is one busy man, from meetings to shootings to workout sessions, his days are jam-packed from morning till night. One of the highest-paid actors in the world knows how to balance both his work and family life, and Jeffrey Dean Morgan hates him for it.
The two came together for the 2018 movie, Rampage, and have been close confidants ever since. Despite being great buddies with The Rock, The Walking Dead actor only has one tiny problem with his “brother”. According to Morgan, Johnson goes above and beyond to make the other successful actor look like mere children in front of him. The 6ft 5in former pro wrestler can handle anything thrown at him with ease, and his co-star has no idea how he does it.
In the Rolling Stone interview, The Walking Dead actor revealed,
“He’s a freak of nature,—It seems like every month he’s in a movie and making a killing. In the middle of shooting Rampage, he’s off hosting SNL and doing ads for Apple and running for president and whatever else. He works out at 3:30 in the morning so he can get to set on time. I don’t know how he does it. And the other thing is, he’s a family dude, so not only is he juggling the 9 million things he’s got on his plate for work, he’s also raising kids and got a happy marriage. Jesus Christ. I kind of f–king hate him.”
The thing that left Morgan in awe the most was the fact that he was able to juggle a happy home life, with his children, a happy marriage, and still have time for everything else, all in a day’s work.
Dwayne Johnson spends more time vacationing than working
Dwayne Johnson is not all work, and no play, although his highly demanding life sucks all the life juice out of him, to recharge he likes to go for long vacations. Although he does an insane amount of projects every year, the majority of which lead to being certified hits, he also knows when to hit the breaks and take a breather for a moment. Turns out, “Work hard, but party harder”, is the mantra is likes to follow in his daily life.
Besides that, the chill pill that he incorporates without any failures in his very busy schedule is meditation. He makes sure, all this work does not burn him out completely. When things get tough, he likes to shut everything out for a split second in search of some one-on-one time with himself.
He told CNBC,
“In essence, it’s meditating, but it’s just really quiet time and just having a moment where I really just shut off my brain,”
And as stated previously although finding quiet in his everyday life isn’t easy for Dwayne Johnson, he loves “that sweet window of about 11 p.m. to about 1 a.m. in my world, in my household, where everything is so quiet. Babies are asleep. Everyone’s asleep,”
Thus, although the actor has a pretty intense life, he knows how to bring the calm back as well all while balancing a thousand things and perfect home life all by himself. Hence, people now understand why exactly Jeffrey Dean Morgan hated him so much.
