Lady Gaga is one of the most popular pop stars of this era. When it was announced that the singer was going to play DC’s Harley Quinn in Todd Phillips’ Joker 2, the internet went crazy. While most prefer the pop star for her songs, others do for her acting, and some also find her weird behaviors bold and funny.
Gaga is famous for her eccentric ways. After all, this is the woman who wore a meat dress to the 2010 VMAs and shocked everyone. But that’s not the only thing that shocked people. The global pop star also surprised many when it was revealed that she is afraid of ghosts and has an ultra-expensive device to check for paranormal presence.
Lady Gaga’s Paranormal Fear Made Her Invest In An Expensive Ghost Detector
Plenty of celebrities spend their money on weird things. Justin Bieber allegedly spent $100,000 to transform a Cadillac CTS-V into a Batmobile. Nicholas Cage supposedly bought a dinosaur skull worth $276,000 and a pyramid-shaped tombstone for his final resting place. But Lady Gaga went a notch above and purchased something that made everyone raise their eyebrows.
The pop singer allegedly spent $50,000 on a ghost-detecting device also called an Electro-Magnetic Field Reader. It’s supposed to inform her about nearby paranormal entities so that she can stay away from them while touring. As per Glamour, Lady Gaga “believes in paranormal activity and won’t take any risks when she is on the road. She needs to be safe from spirits.”
That’s not the only precaution she takes against otherworldly beings. The magazine also stated that “she’s petrified of evil spirits and has apparently had every hotel and tour venue she’s performed and stayed in scanned by a team of pro paranormal investigators before she agreed to reside there.” But this is not the only thing that is spooky about Lady Gaga. The singer also alleged that she’s her reincarnated dead aunt.
Is Lady Gaga Her Reincarnated Renaissance Aunt?
In an interview with Vanity Fair, Lady Gaga claimed that she was connected to her dead aunt. The singer believes that her aunt blessed her parents and touched her mom’s stomach to transfer her spirit into her. Gaga said:
“My father’s sister Joanne died when she was 19 and he was 16. And when my mother was engaged to marry my father, they were staying in his house, where he grew up, and a light came into the room and touched her stomach, and went away. She believes that Joanne came into the room and sort of OK’d her for my dad and that Joanne transferred her spirit into my mom.”
The actress continued and said that she was her aunt’s unfinished project. The pop star even believes that there are two hearts in her. Gaga said, “So when I was born, it’s almost as if I was her unfinished business. She was a poet and a real Renaissance woman, pure of heart – just a beautiful person. She died a virgin. And one of my guides told me he can feel I have two hearts in my chest, and I believe that about myself.”
Whether that’s true or not is impossible to know for sure, but it does make for an interesting read. On the work front, the singer is shooting Joker 2 with Joaquin Phoenix.
