In a 2018 interview with fellow actor Jamie Foxx, Jumanji star Dwayne Johnson answered some interesting questions about his career, personal life, and influences that shaped him as an actor and a human being. When Foxx asked him why he always talks to people instead of telling them to move the cameras away, Johnson told Off Script via Thrillist:
“It’s the most important relationship that I have because I reached a point in my career, I was tired of trying to be something I wasn’t. So finally, I reached a point where I said, ‘All right, two things have to happen: I’m going to surround myself with a different group of people, different management, and then I’m gonna make sure that I just gotta be me.’”
When asked how Johnson makes his films very entertaining for audiences of all ages, he shares his passion for the art of filmmaking as well as his admiration for Indiana Jones star Harrison Ford:
“I love to make movies for the world to enjoy, and a lot of our friends, they do a great job. A lot of times they like to discover themselves and scripts… What I loved about that character that [Harrison Ford] did, he was able to kick as*, and it’s always fun to kick as*. But then to have like a little charm to it — he was in on it. He would get his as* kicked, but he loved and celebrated women.”

“I always say this to people, being nice and kind is literally the easiest thing we can do. It’s the easiest compared to being an a—hole to people. And not only that but then also, the last thing is you have an opportunity to make somebody’s day.”
