Following Lance Reddick’s sudden death at the age of 60, the whole industry has come together to mourn his passing and pay their condolences to the actor’s family and loved ones. The actor, who has been involved in several critically acclaimed projects, including The Wire and the John Wick franchise, reportedly died due to natural causes this Friday.
With many fans and celebrities mourning over this tragic loss, Marvel star Ming-Na Wen also shared her thoughts and prayers for the actor’s family and commended Reddick for being a great person.

Alongside several celebrities and fans, Marvel star Ming-Na Wen, who portrayed the role of Melinda May in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, didn’t shy away from paying tribute to the amazing actor. The actress commended the John Wick star for his exponential talent and for always being a wonderful person. She stated,
“What shocking and sad news! Lance was such a kind man. So talented. And the biggest nerd! I adored him! Condolences to his family, friends & fans.”
Following this tragic event, Lance Reddick’s John Wick co-star, Keanu Reeves, and the director Chad Stahelski also went on to pay their respects over this loss. They also commended Reddick for his contribution to this franchise.
Lance Reddick’s John Wick colleagues mourn his tragic passing
With John Wick: Chapter 4 inching toward its release, lead star Keanu Reeves and director Chad Stahelski went on to express their love and respect for the late actor. Lance Reddick, who is set to mark his fourth appearance as Charon in the franchise, became one of the most memorable characters in the John Wick universe. Reeves and Stahelski shared their condolences to Reddick’s family and dedicated the upcoming movie to The Wire star. They said,
“We are deeply saddened and heartbroken at the loss of our beloved friend and colleague Lance Reddick. He was the consummate professional and a joy to work with. Our love and prayers are with his wife Stephanie, his children, family, and friends. We dedicate the film to his loving memory. We will miss him dearly.”
Despite his passing, the upcoming John Wick entry won’t be the last time we would witness Reddick on the big screen. According to reports, The Wire star has allegedly filmed his scenes for several upcoming projects, including Ballerina and Percy Jackson and the Olympians, and is set to appear in the upcoming project, White Men Can’t Jump.
John Wick: Chapter 4 is set to hit theatres on 24 March 2023.
