The Mandalorian Creator Reveals His Best Jedi Choice That Left Fans Bewildered

A franchise that has been going for almost forty-five years, no debate seems to be enough when it comes to honoring the legacy of Star Wars. It’s not just a film franchise for fans, but a movement. With different directors going for their own original take on the stories over the years, it can be a bit challenging to satisfy the fans who have been on the bandwagon for that long.

Working alongside the incredible Jon Favreau as the co-creator of The Mandalorian, Dave Filoni has given out his personal opinion on who he thinks is the “greatest Jedi” of all time.

Having enough experience in the franchise with Star Wars: The Clone Wars, the animated Star Wars Rebels, and now The Mandalorian and the upcoming Ahsoka, he didn’t think twice before splitting the fans with sparking the debate. Although this could be a marketing gimmick for popularizing Ahsoka, fans have fallen prey to it nonetheless.

Who Is The Greatest Jedi Of All Time According To The Mandalorian Creator?

With every film franchise, fans tend to have their own pick for the character they think should get the title of the “greatest” of all time. In the more recent Ahsoka special look – Journey to Ahsoka, The Mandalorian creator Filoni sparked a controversy by saying the character has been under the tutelage of the Jedi which he thinks is the “greatest” there ever is.

The debate between the fans on social media has been going bigger since his comments, as they think there are many parameters to consider before blatantly giving the title of the greatest to Anakin Skywalker.

“Anakin really was the best of the Jedi… he was everything Qui-Gon said he would be.”

A pro-Skywalker fan resonated with Filoni and said –

The Mandalorian Creator On Why Anakin Skywalker Is The Greatest

Fueled by the traumatic events of his past, Anakin Skywalker did some highly questionable things. But it looks like The Mandalorian creator has only “strength” in mind. But as we all know that Obi-Wan beat Skywalker, so many fans are questioning that aspect of his character as well.

Anakin Skywalker is a “tragic” hero, considering that he went over to the dark side and then his redemption came with the help of his son Luke Skywalker. Some of his darkest sins are killing the young Jedi children mercilessly, cutting off his own son’s hand, forcing Leia to watch Alderaan getting destroyed, and massacring Tusken raiders.

A Twitter user shut down The Mandalorian creator’s remark by saying that his dark past removes Anakin Skywalker from the list of the greatest as he couldn’t honor the Jedi code.
