“He wants someone who has her own power”: Tom Cruise Couldn’t Get Over Nicole Kidman Despite Forcing Iron Man Star to Stay Together After Making Her Leave Ex-Boyfriend

Tom Cruise’s highly celebrated and decade-long marriage to Nicole Kidman was a sensational affair of love and power dynamic in Hollywood. But hardly anything could match the scandalous beast that was woken in the aftermath of Cruise’s marriage to Katie Holmes. Starting from the couches of Oprah to the estranged relationship with Suri, the problems that came in quick succession didn’t find much time to take a pause.

However, before Holmes had even entered into the picture, Nazanin Boniadi was being recruited by the Church of Scientology to step in as the megastar’s better half.

Tom Cruise Attempts to Move On After Nicole Kidman

The foundation of Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman’s relationship was later deemed to be formed over a shared love for adrenaline-fueled affinity to dangerous situations and their mutual lust at first sight, which Kidman later admitted to in a Vanity Fair article. Their decade-long love and high-profile marriage, as celebrated as it was, later fizzled out in the tail end of the actress growing out of her wild 20s and maturing enough that she grew apart from the megastar.

The aftermath involved another failed relationship with Penélope Cruz following which the Church deemed it necessary for the actor’s image to be restored yet again in the public’s eye – something that could apparently be fixed with a marriage that established him, once again, as one-half of a Hollywood power couple.

However, the match with Nazanin Boniadi was short-lived and fell through after Scientologist Tommy Davis told her, “He wants someone who has her own power—like Nicole.” Tom Cruise’s couch-jumping confession of love for Katie Holmes then pales in front of the high esteem in which the actor held his second wife.

Tom Cruise and Nazanin Boniadi: A Scientology Affair

Recruited, selected, and prepped to marry Tom Cruise, Iron Man actress Nazanin Boniadi’s stay with Scientology was never an altruistic or religiously inclined saga. Rather, the importance of her faith was tested by and depended on her serving as the competent partner to the Church’s biggest asset of all time, Cruise. As reported by Vanity Fair, Boniadi was reportedly audited regularly, her relationship with the Iranian man she was engaged to marry was broken off after the Church exposed his affair, and she was made to sign an extensive confidentiality agreement that entirely hinged around her relationship with Tom Cruise.

The extreme grooming and molding of the activist and actress were bound to become too overwhelming at some point in their arranged saga. An incident of miscommunication with Scientology’s chief, David Miscavige reportedly resulted in her being packed off to the Church away from her shared home with Cruise. The actor allegedly never communicated about the end of their relationship with her, rather she was informed about it through alternate channels. Her connection with the Church severed not too long after.
