Will Arnett can be regarded as one of the best comedic actors in the industry and has lent his voice in many critically acclaimed projects, including The Lego Batman Movie and BoJack Horseman. And it appears that the Duke of Sussex, Prince Harry is a big admirer of the actor.
Among all the great iterations of Batman over the years, Will Arnett’s take on the Dark Knight surprisingly doesn’t fall short of its counterparts. And it seems that Prince Harry can’t get over Arnett’s unique take on the world’s greatest detective.
Prince Henry once begged Will Arnett to do his Batman’s voice
In his best-selling memoir, Spare, the Duke of Sussex revealed a hilarious incident that took place during a party at Courtney Cox’s house. At the party after Prince Harry came across the comedic actor Will Arnett, and he implored the actor to do his famous Lego Batman impression. And even though the actor hesitated at the beginning, he eventually agreed to Prince’s request. The Duke of Sussex wrote,
“I begged: Do it. Do what? The voice. He shut his eyes. He wanted to say no, but he didn’t want to be impolite. Or else he recognized that I wouldn’t stop. He fixed me with his ice-blue eyes and cleared his throat and in perfect gravelly Batman said: Hello, Harry. Oh, I loved it. Again! He did it again. I loved it even more. We shared a big laugh.”
And Prince Harry wasn’t regretful about imploring the actor to do the impression of the Dark Knight, as he was overjoyed after witnessing Will Arnett’s Batman voice after a hilarious exchange of words.
Will Arnett and Prince Harry share a great bond
It wasn’t the only experience of both of them together, as Will Arnett previously revealed that he shares a great friendship with the Duke of Sussex, which they developed through texting each other. And it seems that the BoJack Horseman actor never misses the opportunity to crack up the Duke of Sussex. Arnett stated,
“We actually have a mutual friend over there in the U.K., His name is Harry, he’s a redhead. Prince Harry, that’s right. I couldn’t think of his first name! He’s the real deal, that dude. He’s a real prince of a guy.”
It isn’t only the Duke of Sussex who admires Will Arnett’s take on the cape crusader, as a huge portion of the Batman fandom adores The Lego Batman Movie. Many have also gotten as far as to state that Arnett’s vocal performance is one of the best impressions of The Dark Knight and just second to that of Kevin Conroy’s one.
The Lego Batman movie is available to stream on Apple TV.
