Dwayne Johnson rumored to star in WrestleMania’s main event

One of the biggest rumors that recently garnered heat in the world of wrestling was the return of Dwayne Johnson in WrestleMania 39, who would be going against Roman Reigns in its main event. Even though the actor has limited his WWE appearances since his loss against John Cena at WrestleMania 29, considering the recent failure of Black Adam, it’s reasonable to assume that The Rock would return for some glory in the WWE arena.

But there have been some skepticisms around the rumored main event of The Rock vs Roman Reigns, as according to reports Johnson isn’t in the condition to return for a 40-minute match. Another factor that undermines this ambitious match is the recent win of Cody Rhodes in Royal Rumble, who is now assigned to star in the main event of WrestleMania.

And amidst all the speculations circulating over the internet, Roman Reigns shared his viewpoint on the rumor. The WWE champion went on to spread some light on the possibility of this match.

Roman Reigns’ response to The Rock’s rumored return

In an interview with Jimmy Fallon, Roman reigns addressed the rumor of facing Dwayne Johnson in the WrestleMania main event. On being asked about Rock’s statement of not being in the shape, Reigns respond hilariously by stating, “Like hold on. He trains every single day, he’s huge”.

Reigns then went on to clarify Johnson’s statement, as he explained that apart from training with weights, one has to keep on conditioning his body to be able to take the fall and beating in the ring. The WWE champion also shared humorous advice for the Black Adam star, by asking him to be ready to take the fall if he faces Reigns in WrestleMania. He stated,

“That’s number one Dwayne. When you’re going up against Roman reigns, you better get ready to fall down”

Although Cody Rhodes is initially booked to star in the WrestleMania main event, there’s still hope for Johnson’s big return, as WWE is no new to changing their plans to meet the best outcome. And even though if The Rock isn’t able to star in the main event, fans will be hoping for at least a mild appearance of the wrestler in the pay-per-view.
