Captain America: The First Avenger (2011) star Chris Evans broke the internet on September 9 as he got married to a Portuguese actress, Alba Baptista, in a private ceremony in Cape Cod, Massachusetts, attended by many of his Marvel friends, like Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Hemsworth to name a few.
PEOPLE magazine mentioned Evans’ relationship timeline in a report published on September 11 when they found out from a source that the actor felt Baptista was the right woman for him ever since the two met.
Chris Evans Felt Alba Baptista Was The One
Evans and Alba Baptista have kept their relationship away from the public eye for a long time. The publication, however, successfully managed to snoop on the actor’s first meeting with the actress.
Reporting that they met in Europe for the first time, the source had a mouthful of information to spill about Evans being the happiest man since he met her.
“It was kind of love at first sight,” the source told PEOPLE. “They got serious very quickly. He kept saying he knew she was the one.”
PEOPLE also noted that Evans and Baptista hadn’t dated for more than two years, but the source claimed that he had been looking to settle down with her for a while.
The Source Praised Alba Baptista’s Personality
Baptista, famous for playing Ava Silva in the Netflix series, Warrior Nun (2020), was found to be very positive and charming by the source. Pressing that Chris Evans can’t wait to start a family, the source mentioned that her positive vibes “rubbed off” on him.
The source further told PEOPLE –
“He can’t wait to have a family. He was just waiting for the right girl. She is beautiful, smart, and just a good person. She is involved in charity work and truly cares about doing good. She is a very positive and happy person. It’s rubbed off on him. It’s the best news that they are married.”
Chris Evans’ latest film – Pain Hustlers, starring Emily Blunt as Liza Drake opposite Evans’ Pete Brenner had its world premiere at the Toronto Film Festival on September 11.
Pain Hustlers will be released by Netflix on October 27.
