Actor and martial artist Steven Seagal gained popularity in the 1990s for his work in action movies. Without a doubt, Seagal’s impact on the action genre made him a well-known name in the industry. He has worked with many big Hollywood stars and most of them have a hilarious story about him.
Tom Arnold worked with Seagal in 2001’s Exit Wounds. Arnold recently retold the iconic story where Seagal had to face the consequences of being a “jerk” on the sets of the movie. Moreover, Seagal thought someone was paying Arnold to badmouth him so he asked him to stop sharing this story.
Steven Seagal refused to rehearse for a scene
Actor Tom Arnold once told the story of actor Steven Seagal embarrassing himself while working in Exit Wounds (2001). In the scene, Seagal was supposed to get up and leave through the door. Without any practice, Seagal asked the director to roll the cameras, however, he forgot which door he was supposed to take. Arnold recalled,
“Steven Seagal goes, ‘I don’t want to rehearse.’ He never wanted to rehearse. He just sat in his chair the whole time for 45 minutes. He could have it rehearsed it, blocked it, done everything,” adding, “He starts heading to that door and I looked at Anthony Anderson and I was like, ‘Should I tell him?’ He goes, ‘No.’ And [Seagal] opens the door and he goes, ‘Oh, f**k’ and disappeared in the ocean.”
As per Tom Arnold, Seagal suffered the consequences of being a “jerk” on the sets of the movie. While the story may seem hilarious, there is someone who is not happy with it.
Steven Seagal thought someone was paying Tom Arnold to badmouth him
In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Tom Arnold revealed that Seagal isn’t happy with the fact that Arnold shared this story with the public. On top of that, he said Seagal believes someone is paying Arnold to badmouth him. Arnold said,
“A mutual friend we have said, ‘Hey, I talked to Steven and I’m gonna set up a [meeting]. And I go ‘No, don’t do that.’ He goes, ‘Well, he wants to know who’s paying you to badmouth him,” he continued, “I go nobody is paying. If he had a sense of humor at all, he’d know that everybody I do movies with, I do a story – Arnold [Schwarzenegger], people I love, all these different people. You don’t have to pay me to tell stories. The problem with him is he’s got so many.”
Arnold further stated that he doesn’t care about what Seagal thinks because of his controversial past. Seagal was accused of s*xual harassment by Jenny McCarthy, who is a good friend of Tom Arnold.
Did Steven Seagal s*it his pants while fighting Gene LeBell?
There is another famous embarrassing story about Steven Seagal. Back when Seagal was working with Gene LeBell in 1991’s Out For Justice, Seagal claimed that he is immune to being choked unconscious through his aikido martial art training. Out of curiosity, Gene LeBell challenged him.
It is claimed that Gene LeBell then choked him so hard that he “crapped” his pants and lost consciousness. On the other hand, Seagal claimed that LeBell is a “pathological liar” as there was “never any confrontation with him.”
