Marvel just recently made a huge announcement with regard to the role of Thunderbolt Ross in the new movie, Thunderbolts. Harrison Ford is officially said to star as Thunderbolt Ross in the film, and fans seem to be extremely excited about this new development.
As per the latest reports, the Blade Runner actor is going to be replacing the late William Hurt as Thaddeus Ross in Thunderbolts and is also going to be playing the character in the MCU’s Captain America: New World Order which will be released in 2024.
Harrison Ford to play the MCU’s new Thunderbolt Ross
The role of the infamous Thaddeus Ross, an anti-hero in the MCU that was played by the Academy Award-winning actor William Hurt, is now going to be portrayed by the Indiana Jones star, Harrison Ford.
Earlier, these had only been mere rumors but now that Marvel has confirmed Ford to play Thunderbolt Ross, the 80-year-old will be joining the cast of Thunderbolts along with Florence Pugh, Sebastian Sean, David Harbour, Wyatt Russell, and many more.

William Hurt played the signature role of General Thaddeus Ross in various Marvel movies like The Incredible Hulk, Captain America: Civil War, Black Widow, and Avengers: Endgame, to name a few. Besides Hurt, The Ranch actor, Sam Elliott had also worked as Thunderbolt Ross in the MCU’s Hulk in 2003.
And now, Harrison Ford is ready to step into the role of the character, also popularly known as the Red Hulk in Marvel’s comics.

But it looks like fans aren’t worried about it that much, as they are already hyped up by the idea.

Even though there is a massive uproar about Ford being the new Thunderbolt Ross, a lot of the excitement could also be with regard to how Red Hulk’s CGI in the film is going to turn out.
