Hades II Early Access To Go Live By 2024, Devs Explain Reason Behind The Push To 2024
Developer Super Giant Games has come out with an official announcement stating Early Access for Hades II will go live by Q2 of next year. They also revealed the reason why gamers have to wait until then, as they felt they needed to add more content. The original Hades had a lot of content added already by the time gamers got early access to it, and a similar idea is the reason why the sequel has also been delayed for early access. The devs clearly want the game to be as polished as possible by the time gamers get their hands on it, even if it is for early access.
Explaining further, the official announcement mentions the following on SuperGiantGames.com:
And, even though Early Access inherently means a game is not yet complete, we still want to do everything we can to make sure Hades II is worth your while as soon as you can play it in any capacity.
Gamers looking forward to future updates can add Hades II to their wishlist on Steam or the Epic Games Store.

Super Giant Games also went on to discuss that while Early Access plays a vital part in making the sequel feel like a Hades game. They went on to mention that the timeframe for the future of the sequel is being planned around perfectly to ensure the development of the game is sweetly positioned to implement early access feedback.
Much of the sequel’s core content is being planned for addition to the main game after early access. They’re working on all that the developers learned from the launch of the original game, and the focus remains on building core content which includes the game’s story events, characters, environments, Boons, weapons, music, and so on.
Several Major Updates Before Version 1.0, Technical Test Planned Before Early Access
Speaking of updates expected in the game beyond the early-access launch, there’s a confirmation that there will be several updates leading up to the launch version. Each of the planned updates is also said to introduce more characters and will culminate when the game launches with version 1.0 when the story’s conclusion and any required finishing touches will be implemented for a smoother launch.
Even before Early Access goes live, the team is planning on having a technical test with a handful of players to solve any technical or compatibility issues players might find during early access. This technical test is also said to have extremely limited content compared to what gamers will find in early access tests.
