Zoe Saldana hinted at a possible Gamora and Peter Quill reunion
Zoe Saldana has hinted that a reunion between her character Gamora and Chris Pratt’s Star-Lord could be in the cards for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Saldana said that she believes the two characters will “find a way back into each other’s lives” in the future. She also noted that she would be open to returning to the MCU to play Gamora again if the opportunity arose.
Saldana’s comments came after the release of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, which saw Gamora resurrected after being killed by Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War. However, the resurrected Gamora is a different version of the character, having grown up in a different timeline.
Despite the differences between the two versions of Gamora, Saldana believes that the character’s connection to Star-Lord will remain.
“I think the whole thing with Peter bothered her because even though she had no recollection of who he was, she had a sense that it must have been special. And I appreciated that takeaway because it kind of gave us the hope that if the Guardians seek help again from the Ravagers, maybe Gamora and Peter will find a way back into each other’s lives, even if it’s just as friends.”
It is unclear when or how a Gamora and Star-Lord reunion could happen in the MCU. However, Saldana’s comments suggest that the possibility is still there. And this sparked a discussion among MCU fans.
