Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery actor shared in an interview about his admiration for the ace actor Pierce Brosnan. The two actors worked together in the film Final Score. In an interview with RTÉ Entertainment, Bautista shared his experience of working with the star,
“It was amazing, I have a bit of a man crush on Pierce.”
“He’s just, everybody knows he’s amazingly talented but until you meet him you don’t realize what a beautiful person he is. He’s just a good, good man, and I don’t say that lightly,” he continued.
“He’s a good, decent, down-to-earth, grounded man – I love him.”
In Final Score, Dave Bautista has to track Brosnan’s character in a football stadium before the match reaches full-time, to stop a massive explosion, which would kill everyone in the stadium.
Dave Bautista and Pierce Brosnan never talked about James Bond films
Pierce Brosnan played James Bond for four of the highest-grossing Bond films including GoldenEye, Tomorrow Never Dies, The World Is Not Enough, and Die Another Day. Also, Dave Bautista was part of Daniel Craig’s Spectre. However, the two actors never talked about Bond films when they were shooting together.
Bautista said,
“We didn’t really talk much about Bond. We talked about everything; Pierce likes to talk about life in general and happiness and how he’s found his way in life and the things he’s dealt with and struggled with and I think that’s why I connected with him.”
“He didn’t sit down and tell me all his accolades, we didn’t sit down and talk about my background in films and wrestling; we just sat down and we really talked about life and people and relationships, and I think that’s why I respect him so much.”
Final Score was released in 2018 and grossed $776,594 worldwide. It is available for streaming on Amazon Prime.
