By the time GTA 6 finally comes out, it would have been under development for around a decade, at least. Rockstar Games will surely send the internet into a frenzy when an announcement is made, whenever they feel the time is right. It is also estimated, allegedly, that the total investment in the game might be around an insane $2 Billion mark. This dwarfs the total investment put into Bethesda’s interstellar space adventure, Starfield, which was released globally earlier today.
The unreleased and unannounced game has already had its share of leaks over the past year from alpha footage being leaked last year to most recently, the announcement date for GTA 6 being leaked, which has since been taken down. At the time of writing, however, there’s yet another rumor doing the rounds that Rockstar Games will not follow the industry standard rates of $70 for their upcoming game when it’s launched, as leaks suggest the base price is a lot more than expected.
Alleged Voice Note From Strauss Zelnick Promptly Removed, Dividing Fans Over Authenticity
An audio note said to be from Strauss Zelnick, CEO of Take-Two Interactive, was doing the rounds on social media which revealed Rockstar Games’ plans for GTA 6. The audio clip was instantly taken down with a copyright claim, further fueling debates over the legitimacy of the clip. As for the audio note itself, the plan revealed was that the game would be announced next month, October, and would supposedly come out about two years later October 2025.
Zelnick had recently sat down for an interview with CNBC, where he mentioned 2025 to be “a highly anticipated year” for his company. Even if the alleged audio note is fake, there’s still a possibility of an announcement coming out before the end of this year.

Unconfirmed Reports State Rockstar Games Plan To Release GTA 6 at an Insane Price
A lot of major titles have come out over the past few months and a lot more are scheduled to come out during the remainder of this year, including Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Alan Wake 2, and many more. While the industry standard has been to release major titles at $70 or thereabouts for the base edition, one bit of unconfirmed news about GTA 6 has got many gamers worried.
In yet another leaked and unconfirmed news, GTA 6 is said to cost $150 for gamers looking to purchase the game once it’s released, given the game’s massive budget which is said to be close to $2 Billion, which includes development costs. The hefty price is more than double the cost of the standard edition of most major games to have come out so far, with even Bethesda’s recent release, Starfield sticking to the standard $69.99 for the base edition. Fans are divided over the price already.

While the news is still a rumor, fans being willing to pay more than the standard $70 price tag for a major game, might hint at future releases going above and beyond the $100 mark.
New Leak Suggests GTA 6 Radio Stations Might Feature The Joe Rogan Experience
In yet another interesting leak, GTA 6 is said to feature The Joe Rogan Experience in one of the radio stations in-game. Fans have been waiting to hear something concrete and official about GTA 6, and while the game is surrounded by rumors at the moment, some of them have sounded quite plausible. Including a live podcast or a highlight of the best bits from Joe Rogan‘s famous podcast where he sits down for a talk with celebrities from a variety of fields, could just fit in with a modern Grand Theft Auto game.
Radio Stations have been a fan favorite feature that has been featured in almost all of the GTA games. Rockstar Games even has an official Spotify playlist that features radio stations that are on GTA games. So, an association with one of the famous podcasters wouldn’t be a bad idea for the game’s popularity, while fans have also come up with their podcast recommendations to be featured in the upcoming GTA title.
