One of the bankable stars of the decade, Euphoria‘s fame Zendaya has continued to work on some great films including the Spider-man trilogy. The 25-year-old has also been part of some controversy for supporting some decisions made by the show Euphoria in portraying drug addiction.
The sensation hit Euphoria stars, Zendaya, as Rue, a high school student who suffers from drug addiction. In response to the portrayal of drug abuse on the show, the DARE (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) called it misguided and erroneous.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Zendaya responded to the criticism :
“Our show is in no way a moral tale to teach people how to live their life or what they should be doing. If anything, the feeling behind ‘Euphoria,’ or whatever we have always been trying to do with it, is to hopefully help people feel a little bit less alone in their experience and their pain….”
