Lena Headey’s Game of Thrones is one of the most iconic and well-recognized book series as well as television show. Not only have there been spin-offs of both, but the fanbase is also an evergrowing spectacle. There are various actors who have worked their way up in the series and one of them is none other than Heady.
The actress is best known for playing Cersei Lannister in the show and various audiences find themselves being attracted to the show despite its bittersweet ending. Headey has been known for her work outside of George R. R. Martin’s work; working alongside Gerard Butler in the 300 duology as well as The Purge. However, one experience outside of the set really shocked her, making her wonder what she perhaps did wrong.
Lena Headey’s Awkward Encounter With A Nurse
The finale for the fifth season of Game of Thrones features one of the most impactful and moving scenes of the entire series. It features a six-minute walk of Lena Headey’s character, Cersei walking through the streets of King’s Landing. The Walk of Shame, as it has famously come to be known. Although Headey herself was not the one who walked naked, her body double was quite brave to do so. The scene left a mark on everyone and the actress experienced the fame in the most peculiar ways possible.
“My nurse said to me, ‘I think we should swap.'” The actress agreed with her, “I said yeah because I was about to punch him.”
While she was giving birth to her second child, her nurse came up to her and told her how big of a fan she really was. Her baby happened to have jaundice and was kept in a separate place from her. However, it was at the time when she had to feed her child that things became weird for Headey. While she was breastfeeding, her husband had to help her get the milk out and he was unfortunately doing a rather poor job in that.
Lena Headey Got Help From Her Nurse
Lena Headey further elaborated on how the encounter had been one she could never forget. While the nurse was helping her out, she kept whispering to her, “Shame,” something that caught her extremely off guard. It was very clearly a callback to her Walk of Shame but the actress never expected it to be brought up at that time.
“She came and sat next to me, squeezed my n*pple and went, ‘shame.'”
The nurse immediately realized what she had said and kept apologizing to the actress, claiming that she had no idea why the words ever even came out of her mouth. The entire incident was amusing yet shocking for Headey.
