With Deadpool 3 currently filming in the UK, some extremely intriguing rumors about the Marvel Studios threequel have started to circulate. For months, rumors have circulated around that the film is a multiverse adventure that sends Ryan Reynolds’ Merc with the Mouth and Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine on a journey through the Multiverse. However, nothing has been officially confirmed.
According to some recent scoops from CanWeGetSomeToast, there will be multiple Deadpools in the movie. According to some recent scoops from CanWeGetSomeToast, the film will feature many Deadpools. Furthermore, it claims that the movie will have at least one more variant of Wolverine in addition to the main one. Anyway, fans should be ready for more surprises.
Deadpool 3 Will Feature a Surprising Variant
It’s been rumored that the Marvel Studios threequel would feature multiple Variants of Wade Wilson and it appears that Dogpool: The Merc with a Bark will be one of them.
Dogpool, as the name implies, is a canine version of the Merc with a Mouth, who appeared in Prelude to Deadpool Corps #3 in 2010. Wilson, who was once a regular pooch, was part of Mascara X’s animal testing study before getting regenerative abilities and joining the circus as the “Death Defying Hound.” He was eventually approached by Deadpool from Earth-616, who recruited him in the Deadpool Corps.
Hugh Jackman has spoken about how much fun he is having making Deadpool 3 with his longtime friend (and occasionally enemy), Ryan Reynolds, as we sit and wonder what variant versions of Wolverine Jackman might be bringing to the big screen.
Deadpool 3: Everything We Know So Far
Deadpool 3 is being produced by Marvel Studios as part of the MCU and is one of several projects in the upcoming MCU slate of movies and TV shows. Hugh Jackman‘s return as Wolverine in Deadpool 3 and various other returning Marvel movie characters have allowed the movie to bring along a friend from the X-Men universe as part of the Multiverse Saga in the MCU.
Of course, Ryan Reynolds has officially signed on to star in Deadpool 3, making his MCU debut. Reynolds and Jackman both shared a picture of themselves dressed as Deadpool and Wolverine on their Instagram Stories a few days back.
The main plot of Deadpool 3 is still mostly unknown, but anything is possible. Deadpool will probably use Cable’s time machine in Deadpool 3 to travel back in time and reunite with Wolverine and potentially other X-Men, but it’s not clear what will happen after that—or even whether it will happen.
Shawn Levy is set to direct the film, taking over the role from David Leitch, and the movie is set to be released in theaters on November 8, 2024.
