With the recent announcement from Unity and the backlash it has received from the gaming community and game developers, there have been some in the gaming community who have been pointing out what games could look like using other game engines like Unreal Engine as one Twitter/X user called Usman has posted footage from a horror game that uses Unreal Engine 5, and it looks beautiful.

Why Does This New Horror Game Stand Out Amongst The Rest?
Within the gaming community, there have been numerous horror games over the decades, and they have been evolving at a rapid rate as horror games are becoming more popular and more developers are looking toward creating more horror games in the future, but as there are more horror games being developed, it is harder to stand out amongst the crowd as a lot of the time horror games tend to be quite repetitive.
When gamers think about horror games, the most well-known games like the Resident Evil franchise, Phasmaphobia, Silent Hill, and The Dark Pictures Anthology, but as the games gain more popularity and create more sequels, many gamers will slowly get bored of the same type of content and scenery as these type of games all share similar graphics and environments depending on the era of the franchise. Still, with this video shared by Usman, we can see the potential of a game that uses the Unreal engine to its max.
The video shared by Usman on Twitter/X may only be 36 seconds long, but with those 36 seconds, we can see the significant detail that has been created using the Unreal Engine 5. Even though these 36 seconds are used for a tech demo, it helps to show gamers and developers the full potential of the Unreal engine and how it can create such detailed scenery that looks practically life-like.

What Other Examples That Boost Unreal Engine Over Unity?
Even though the video shared by Usman on Twitter/X with the demo for Unreal Engine 5 is an amazing short clip that provides a deep insight into what we could be seeing sometime in the near future, this isn’t the first time that gamers have looked towards the brighter side of gaming development as there are many gamers who wonder what it will be like if other game developers used Unreal Engine 5 on their games.
One example of this has been shared by Twitter/X user Pykz0, who recently shared an image with the statement “rust if it used unreal engine instead of unity” as they showed an image that has a high graphical image of a forest and lake as the player can see all of the detail in the surrounding location, and there are many who love the look of this image whilst some feel it would ruin the experience of Rust.
Although there are fans of this image, there are those who do not like the idea of a massively graphical game as it causes a lot of issues for gamers who don’t have the best equipment that can run high-quality games, but for those who can run games at higher-qualities would love to see their favourite games with higher quality settings that could improve the gameplay.
