Ezra Miller Sends a Message to Zack Snyder and His Wife While DCU Fans Threaten to Boycott ‘The Flash’

While most of DC still debates the upcoming saga and its merits, fans are taken momentarily back to the days that were much simpler and much less taken up with rising up above its predecessor’s shadows. With Ezra Miller’s The Flash arriving in theaters, a significant part of that fight is now going to be made redundant by the Flashpoint narrative and simultaneously gain headway going into DCU in its most nascent ma’am.

As records keep pouring in with the film’s premiere, the fans take a long and hard look at Zack Snyder and his established universe and how this time, the predecessor can do little to fight back amid the overbearing shadow of the coming saga.

Ezra Miller Picks a Side as Actor Makes Rare Appearance

While The Flash works to wipe away much of the old world’s tragic mishaps and usher in an era of new stories and characters, and heroic deeds in the face of darkness and evil, Ezra Miller works to make their first red carpet among the slew of controversies that plagued the media and tabloids in the last few years. Fashionably dressed, Miller steps onto the red carpet at the Warner Bros. premiere of The Flash, greeting fans with a message that gives fans a sharp tinge of nostalgia after the actor manages to send a quick yet heart-warming message to those who contributed to making this vision come alive.

The 30-year-old actor who became renowned for their quirky, eccentric version of Barry Allen and brought their own elemental turn to it addressed a long list of names to who they were grateful. After expressing their gratitude for the maestro, Andy Muschietti, the actor quickly worked through a list of names that included the creators of the superhero: Gardner Fox, Harry Lampert, and Carmine Infantino, and followed up with a mildly surprising mention of Zack Snyder and his producer wife, Deborah Snyder, sending a very clear message about their loyalty toward the creators of DCEU.

Miller also went on to express their gratitude to David Zaslav, and “the dynamic duo Peter Safran and James Gunn for your grace and discernment and care in the context of my life and in bringing this moment to fruition,” while mentioning Pam Abdy, Michael DeLuca, and “the irresistible, unstoppable dream cast” of The Flash.

While The Flash has been receptive to nothing but great reviews and strongly optimistic views in its test screenings, the Andy Muschietti directorial project for DC has also had an Achilles heel in the shape of Ezra Miller. The actor’s past antics across the globe that ranges from choking a woman in Iceland to allegations of grooming a minor to felony burglary have made the audience not only wary of them but resentful toward DC’s constant efforts to rectify the violent acts instead of ousting the actor from the franchise.

As such, calls for a boycott have been circulating online and DC fans are ready to take the steps they feel are necessary in this current situation that calls for desperate measures.

The Flash stars Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck as their respective versions of Batman while Sasha Calle and Nicolas Cage are set to make their live-action big screen debut as Supergirl and Superman respectively. The film will follow the timeline of events as modeled in the former DC Extended Universe with a special appearance from Michael Shannon as General Zod returning to wreak havoc on Earth.

The Flash premieres on June 15, 2023.
