Eternals: Actual Reason Why The Movie Had Intimate Scenes Will Shock You!
Marvel’s Eternals is its latest superhero project and is also one of Marvels’ more ambitious projects. The storyline is about a race of immortal beings with superhuman powers. The movie is inspired by the book written by the legendary writer Jack Kirby and is directed by the Oscar-winning director Chloe Zhao. Zhao gave Kevin Feige, President of Marvel Studios, a distinctive poetry-centered approach to her movie vision and subsequently put her at the project’s helm. In addition, the movie boasts of a talented star cast consisting of Angelina Jolie, Salma Hayek, Richard Madden, Gemma Chan, and Kit Harrington. 
Marvel’s Eternals: A Different Vision:
Eternals is a very different movie as compared to the other MCU films. This was evident even before the official premiere. It seems like MCU’s most mature project so far. The viewers will feel this, especially during a love scene in the movie. Yes, you read that right! Eternals are not shying away from romance and physical display of affection. However, the reason why the love scene is in the movie does come as a surprise.
The Scene Was to be an Integral Part Of The Storyline Of Marvel’s Eternals:
Artist integrity or maturity of the story should have been the reason behind the inclusion of the love scene as it is a Disney movie. The setting is between its two main characters Ikaris (Richard Madden) and Sersi(Gemma Chan). Usually, Disney stays away from screening physically intimate scenes. The onscreen physical intimacy is often in the form of a suggestive one-liner or a brief kiss.
Chloe Zhao: A Mature and Tasteful Director:
However, according to the director of Eternals, Chloe Zhao, Disney gave in very quickly and saw the reason to include the scene. She told Variety that the scene was included in the film’s storyline when she read it before agreeing to direct it. She supported the inclusion of the scene and said, “It’s lovely to see two people show physical affection for each other – a kiss, make love.”
Zhao’s filming of the scene is very tasteful and appealing. Zhao’s skill would be one of the reasons why Disney and MCU have included the scene in the movie. Equally important is that Eternals is a serious storyline, which is a first for MCU and Disney. It’s good to have come such a long way from quips and up and down kisses!
