Widely known for her role as Hermoine Granger in Harry Potter, Emma Watson revealed in an interview how she was left injured with a ‘bleeding lip’ after several retakes of the same passionate scene with Douglas Booth in the movie Noah.

In the scene, the British actress and the actor had to run at each other before embracing each other in a passionate kiss. Watson said,

“We had this one scene where we had to run at each other and fit into this perfect passionate kiss.”

However, they couldn’t get the scene right and had to retake this scene more than 6 times. Continuing, the 33-year-old actress said,

“We were fine for the first four and five takes but by the sixth, we were just nutting each other. My lip was bleeding, I think I hurt Doug’s nose, we were exhausted. It was just not pretty at all.”

From what Emma Watson has revealed, it seems that she wasn’t the only one injured – Douglas Booth also got injured with a bruised nose and swollen lips.

In the biblical blockbuster Noah, Douglas Booth played the role of Shem, while Emma Watson starred alongside him as his wife, Ila. The storyline features Watson’s character falling in love with Noah’s eldest son and Booth’s character, Shem. The love story between the actors is termed as youthful’ and hopeful’ against a pretty chaotic background.

While the movie was much loved by both fans and critics, both Watson and Booth also shared much praise for their undeniable chemistry shared on-screen. The movie also featured other brilliant actors including Russell Crowe, Anthony Hopkins, and Jennifer Conelly in leading roles.

Well, the actors’ hard work certainly paid off, for the movie received several awards, along with the title of a blockbuster.

You can stream the movie Noah on Amazon Prime.
