Elden Ring Gets Detailed Infographic Showing Bosses with Highest Kill Counts

Elden Ring

Soulslike games are all the rage in modern gaming and Elden Ring has certainly made a name for itself as FromSoftware’s most recent success in the genre. The title has only been out for a year and there is already an incredible following behind it. Since Elden Ring had its year anniversary in February, the publisher of the title, Bandai Namco Entertainment, issued a “battle scars infographic.” This showed off statistics on the most challenging bosses that led to the most deaths in the game. The title, which has sold more than 20 million copies worldwide, finally had enough information to show players just how difficult the game is for users.

The statistics among Elden Ring players are staggering, but they highlight one boss in the top five who is particularly deadly. The boss statistic covers 5.9 billion fight attempts, since launch of the game. The number one position for boss battles attempted goes to Malenia, Blade of Miquella with an incredible 329 million attempts.

Second place goes to Margrit the Fell Omen with 281 million. Limgrave Tree Sentinel hit third with 277 million attempts. The last two were Radagon of the Golden Order and Starscourge Radahn with 148 million and 139 million respectively. There have also been over 9 billion deaths in the game with 69% due to enemies and NPC’s, 15% being status effects, 14% falling to one’s death, and 2% for being killed by another player.

Over one billion summons have been used in Elden Ring, to call on others in need of help for boss battles or dungeons. Of the one billion, 88% were co-op and 12% invasion. The number one spell cast was Rock Sling, followed by Crystal Torrent, Glintstone Pebble, Greatblade Phalanx, and Rotten Breath. The most acquired incantation was Blessing of the Erdtree, followed by Bestial Sling, Golden Vow, The Flame of Frenzy, and Bestial Vitality.

Although the statistics may be somewhat discouraging among those who felt Elden Ring was incredibly difficult, they also show that a lot of players had the same experiences. Gamers used many of the same spells, incantations, and died several times to the same foes. While some may feel like they added a million to the death statistic, they can share in the knowledge that others felt the same way.

What Is Next For Elden Ring and Will Malenia Keep the Top Boss Position?

Malenia, Blade of Miquella is the most dangerous boss in Elden Ring defeating players a staggering 329 million times.

Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree is the first expansion DLC planned by FromSoftware. Although it has been an announced for several months, gamers know very little about the upcoming content. It is expected to release in late 2024, however even an exact date has yet to be nailed down. Despite this fact, fans are desperate to get their hands on anything until an officially Elden Ring extension arrives. There have even been huge mods coming to the game, such as Elden Ring: The Convergence, which is considered one of the largest of all time. The creators of the mod have made their own bosses to give players more to do while they wait for Shadow of the Erdtree.

When the Elden Ring DLC does finally release, there is no doubt FromSoftware will continue the difficultly streak. Whether Malenia will be surpassed is yet to be seen, but the expansion is expected to be very large. In fact, there is a rumor that Shadow of the Erdtree was several planned DLC expansions that have been combined into one big installment. Until the release, players will have to continue brushing up against Malenia, adding to the death statistics, until a new challenger brings more terror to the Soulslike title.

What do you think of the Elden Ring statistics released by Bandi Namco Entertainment? Are you surprised Malenia is the hardest boss to beat? Leave a comment and let us know your thoughts.
