Many A-listers of the industry have recently joined the franchise while others are on a constant lookout for characters that they can play in the multi-billion dollar cinematic universe. Margot Robbie was also associated with these headlines recently as the Barbie actress was allegedly being considered to play the role of Sue Storms in the 2025 reboot of Fantastic Four.
However, it seems like Margot Robbie might not get the role after all as Vanessa Kirby is allegedly also being considered for the role of the Invisible Woman.
Vanessa Kirby opens up the rumors of her playing the role of Sue Storm
Although Vanessa Kirby is insanely busy right now doing promotion for her upcoming movie, Mission: Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part One in which she will reprise her role as Alanna Mitsopolis alongside Tom Cruise, the actress still addressed the rumors surrounding her playing the role of Sue Storm in the 2025 reboot of Fantastic Four. Kirby said, “Oh, yes! I’ve heard about those rumors.”

The Hobbs & Shaw actress neither denied nor accepted the rumors and replied, “It would be an honor,” to play the role of the Invisible Woman. However, things are not as easy as it seems. A lot of A-listers are looking to play the role of Sue Storm in the Fantastic Four reboot and the competition is very fierce.
Margot Robbie is allegedly also being considered for the role of Sue Storm
Margot Robbie has not quite opened up about the rumors of her being cast in the 2025 reboot of Fantastic Four but according to sources, the Babylon actress allegedly does not want to take up a role that would stay in the franchise for many years.
Even if she did want to take up the role of Sue Storm, it is highly doubtful if she would be allowed to do so without giving up the role of Harley Quinn that she plays in the DCEU.
Matt Shakman, the director of Fantastic Four opened up about so many casting rumors
The director of the Fantastic Four reboot, Matt Shakman also opened up recently about the casting rumors surrounding so many stars. Shakman revealed that it’s great that so many A-listers want to be a part of the reboot project but he had no answers about the early casting of the characters. He said,
“There are a lot out there, man. They really are. It’s pretty crazy. As I learned from WandaVision, too, it is so lovely to see the level of engagement that fans have with this material, because I’m a fan too, and I have been reading Fantastic Four since I was a kid. I love these characters. I love the chance that we have to bring them to the MCU and I really want to get it right and I know that everybody out there is really excited and feels passionate in the same way wanting to get it right. And so I encourage it. I think it’s great. But yeah, I have no early answers for anyone today about casting.”
According to sources, many A-listers other than Vanessa Kirby and Margot Robbie are also potential candidates to play the role of Sue Storm in the Fantastic Four reboot. Actresses like Jodie Comer, Kristen Bell, Allison Williams, Lily James, and Amanda Seyfried are also in conversation for the role.
