The 38-year-old actress, Gal Gadot in a 2021 interview with Wion talked about her then-newly released movie, Red Notice where she starred alongside Ryan Reynolds and Dwayne Johnson.

Talking about her experience, she revealed feeling nervous when she was about to dance with the Black Adam actor. As to what made her anxious, it was nothing but his big size.

“I’ll tell you the truth. I was a bit nervous at the beginning just because, you know DJ is a giant man and I have feet down there, so I wasn’t sure what was going to happen.”

She continued to share,

“And I kept telling DJ, we’re going to practice, we’re going to rehearse. And he was super cool, kept on calming me down and saying, Don’t worry, this is going to be great. And of course, that just made me more nervous.”

However, she was highly impressed with his dancing skills.

“But then he showed up, and this guy is a freaking ballerina. I don’t know how it works with like physics rules and all that, but he had, he’s so talented and such a good dancer.”

She confessed that filming the dancing with him was quite fun. It was pretty obvious that Johnson had the situation under control by relaxing her nerves. However, the dancing sequence was quite difficult to shoot as per film producer, Hiram Garcia.

Due to the pandemic, the production of the 2021 film was highly affected. But to ensure the proper functioning of the set, several COVID safety protocols were introduced ensuring the well-being of cast and crew. In an interview with Collider, the film producer mentioned how these protocols ended up making even the simplest shots complex, which people might not know if one would see the output.

“Some of the simplest shots you might see in the movie, you’d never realize how complex they were, just in terms of how you were able to shoot some of these things given the logistics of distancing and who was allowed to be on set and not on set.”

Addressing the dancing scene, Garcia mentioned,

“So something like the tango scene between DJ and Gal was an extremely complex scene to shoot, especially with the amount of extras and background and all the stuff going on. The layers required to shoot that and put them on top of each other to make it feel like a room that was full but the truth was it wasn’t was really complex.”

As per distributing platform, Netflix, the film became the most-watched film in its debut weekend with two sequels already in development.
