While Lucasfilm might not be having such a good time in the major motion picture department, the studio has succeeded on the small screen with its TV series on Disney+. And taking the helm in that journey is The Mandalorian, which has turned out to be a boon for both the studio and its parent company Disney thanks to the amount of viewership it attracted from the fandom.
And with this well-earned success, Lucasfilm is able to build an entire sub-universe within the leading franchise that focuses on many notable characters from the main story, one of them being Boba Fett. But despite being one of the most prominent characters from the series, it seems like he may have been shoved aside by the studio.
Boba Fett Was Sidelined In The Mandalorian Season 3
While Pedro Pascal might be the one who took us deeper as Din Djarin into the lore of the clan of Mandalorians in the galaxy, one of the most feared among all of them was none other than Boba Fett, played in Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope by Temuera Morrison. Thus, when the star returned from the dead in the Disney+ mini-series The Book Of Boba Fett, fans were excited to see what he will bring to the table. Alas, the hype has died down, and there is still no sign of the feared mercenary anywhere, let alone in the third season of The Mandalorian.

Recently, Morrison talked about how he was supposed to be part of the third season of the superhit Disney+ series but was not contacted by Lucasfilm or their parent company in any manner whatsoever. This was especially confusing as the appearance of Din Djarin in The Book Of Boba Fett had a critical connection to the third season of The Mandalorian, especially when he gets hold of The Darksaber in the mini-series. Morrison reported:
This got the fandom riled up as many believed that bringing back such an important character was a waste when all they did was sideline him from the main ongoing series. Thus, their reactions to this news seem justifiable.
The frustration that the fans are feeling also stems from the fact that with so much going down in The Book Of Boba Fett, only a very limited part was given to retelling the story of the masked mercenary of old from Mandalore.

Why Temuera Morrison Didn’t Appear In The Mandalorian Season 3?
Temuera Morrison also shed some light on the reason why he was left out from making an appearance in the third season of Din Djarin’s adventures despite being the one who helped set up its premise. He stated how despite the story going a certain way, the studio decided to change certain aspects, which also included the exclusion of his character.
Thus, these statements shed some light on how a deserving character was pushed to the sidelines thanks to changes made to the script.
