What will the change be to treasure goblins, and why is it good?

Diablo 4 Patch Set To Change Those Pesky Treasure Goblins For The Better

Since Diablo 4‘s release, there has been a lot of discussion from gamers about how difficult the game should be; a lot of old-time fans of the series think that the game should be harder and create grinds for better loot, whereas many of the newer fans believe that the game shouldn’t be a long hard grind to find certain loot and to gain access to certain parts of the game.

This is where the discussion of treasure goblins comes in; most Diablo fans will know about treasure goblins as the enemy that got away, as they are notorious for showing up at the worst opportunity and running away from players as the player now has to chase them down to kill them before they manage to escape. This has been the same since treasure goblins existed in the Diablo franchise, but the issue in Diablo 4 is that players do not think it is worth it to kill them as the loot they drop isn’t very special and can be underwhelming.

Due to these comments from gamers, Activision has decided to put a patch in place that will be coming in the 1.1.1 patch so that when killing a treasure goblin, they are guaranteed to drop a legendary item when they die, for those who aren’t familiar these items are the second highest piece of gear that can be obtained after ‘Uniques’, and as players progress in the game, they will unlock different types of legendary gear. This has pleased a lot of fans and has even made some fans say, “When does this take effect? I might actually start playing again just for this change.” which shows how irritating this issue has been to some fans of the series.
